We’re excited to be back and meeting in person again! After a long hiatus we’re back in person at a beautiful new venue, Avila’s Historic 1929. Join us for great food and fellowship every Wednesday morning from 7am-8am. We have a great lineup of speakers this month!
We sincerely appreciate the recognition from Riverside Public Utilities at their most recent Board Meeting. The importance of the SHARE program can not be overstated at this time in which families are working from home, children are attending school remotely, and the usual places for accessing resources such as libraries are closed. Thank you to all who make this program possible!

RIVERSIDE EAST ROTARY CLUB DONATES TO RIVERSIDE SHARE PROGRAM
The Riverside East Rotary Club was awarded funds from The Rotary Foundation’s Disaster Relief Grant and supplemented it with club funds in order to make a $1,200 donation to Riverside Public Utilities SHARE program. This program assists low-income Riverside residents with utility payment assistance. As a result of COVID19, many residents who have lost their income are struggling to pay their utility bills.
“We felt that this donation could directly help our fellow Riverside residents who are in the most need.” said club member Tom Evans, who spearheaded the project.
The club’s portion of the donation was funded through the generosity of Stater Bros. Charities, the Title Sponsor of Riverside East Rotary’s Show and Go Car Show. When the 2020 Show and Go had to be cancelled due to COVID19, Stater Bros. Charities graciously allowed Riverside East Rotary to keep the sponsorship money. This will allow Riverside East Rotary to fund its community projects in 2020-2021.
Riverside East Rotary Club President Matt Goatcher said, “We deeply appreciate Stater Bros. Charities and all the 2020 Show and Go sponsors and participants who donated their funds to our club so that we can continue to serve our community.”

Great batch of speakers in July! This month we had Erin Stream join us from The Arc, Riverside to share some of the awesome work they do with individuals with disabilities and how they are coping with COVID. We also had Frank Lemire, cousin of our very own Richard Lemire, join us from New Jersey to share his car collection and some local automotive history. And finally, we had Barry Valdez, our District Governor, share with us what’s happening in the district in the upcoming year.
Riverside East Rotary is proud to have teamed up with Riverside Rotary and Riverside Sunrise Rotary Clubs on a project to place signs throughout Riverside thanking Essential Workers. We truly appreciate the efforts of all those in our community that are working to keep us healthy, safe, and ensuring everything is working smoothly in these unusual times.
